I am a veteran also in a hard place right now. I served in the Army and was honorably discharged back in 2000. I have a 10% disability, evn though it should be worse! Doctor was horrible. I need to go back and have my knee looked at again because it prevents me from doing certain things at work from time to time. Anyway, I recently had my ex-fiance steal my vehicle from me and had it repo'd on me because whe was afraid I would be late on payments and it would hurt "HER" credit, even though it was in both of our names! I had the cops involved, but nothing I could do because she was on the registration also! so now I have no vehicle and two boys to take care of! As of right now I drop my girlfriend off at her work and borrow her vehicle some days, and have to ask for rides from my boss on other days! My kids live with me and I also have to get them off to school and get home to get my youngest to baseball practice. And I also go to school nights to try and get a real paying job! I work as a carpenter but only get about 30 to 35 hours a week and not good pay!
I am looking for a vehicle but can't get financing without atleat $2500 down! I am always 2 weeks late with rent and am a month behind on all my bills. I have gone all around asking for help but can't find anything! This is very frustrating for me and I want to be able to provide for my family. I feel like I am letting my boys down.
I guess I am just asking if anyone knows of where I can turn to get a small loan of around $3000. So I can get a vehicle and pay off a couple bills for the house. Please send me any information that you might have! PLEASE!
Thank you in advance for any help with this matter!!!

I know what you mean my husband served 12 years was hurt in Iraq 2009 and was honorable discharged from the Army. He is 50% disabled. We lost our home and living in transitional housing which come to find out its for drugs & alcohol we don't have those problems we have 4 kids and we are in need of a car we cannot afford one and my husband has missed a few appointments at the VA we are trying to save money but something comes up. I have been looking for a job and here in Tucson there are not many jobs. We both go to school online but we need help we have no one to turn to. I have an Ulcer from stress and I can't stop stressing our situation is bad. When we lost our home our landlord through away everything we own. We are trying to start over but its so hard. We need help.
in response to Brian**...I was pleased to read your information and I am hoping you can help. I've recently had a tragedy in my family and have fallen behind on all my bills due to illness and inability to work. I'm praying for a miracle.
I'm in need of a vehicle to get to my doctor appointments and for family needs. The car I had I wasn't able to meet the lease payments and fell behind and they came and repoed it for me being behind by $620.22.I nolonger have a vehicle and am at home missing my Veteran Hospital appointments and have no money to purchuse another vehicle.I have even been getting help with foood from a local church to have enough food to last.My wife has a job but we are falling behind on all of our bills and that is what happen to our car.It was needed but other priorities took it's place. We needed propane and electricity and food and a place to live with our two kids.If someone somewhere could help get my family a car,it would be like we won the lottery in a way.We need a car and even need to put that before even getting Christmas gifts for our two kids Brianna(age 10) and Daniel(age 16).We are in a pickle and not see anyway out as I waite for my claims with the Veterans Affairs and Social Security to either get approved or burn in.
The VA has a program called VASH they can help pay your rent. They're a few other organizations one is called impactplayer.org verry helpful people and wings over warriors also verry helpful.
My husband is a combat veteran, honorably discharged this past March after 6 1/2 years active duty Army, and three year long Iraq deployments in that time. We have two young sons, 8 and 4. He was laid off of his job Nov 9th, and immediately got hired as an overnight stocker at Walmart, but the night before he was to start his new job, he totaled his motorcycle, broke his ankle, and dislocated his knee. Will need several surgeries. I just applied for medicaid, food stamps and a (VERY) small check, $260 a month, but it might be a month before I get an answer. Our car was repossessed in July. Without a car I can't do the work seeking that DSS requires. I paid $14 to get there today, we can't afford to do that three times a week. They told me they don't have any exceptions for people with no transportation. Our rent is $360 behind. We may actually be evicted just in time for Christmas. The VA has been of no help. If anyone knows where we might get rent assistance or electric/utility assistance, please let me know. Our lights are to be off Tuesday the 6th, and cable/net/phone the following Friday, though by then it won't really matter. THANK YOU!

My husband is a veteran taking advantage of his schooling, I was a full-time nanny, I was let go. We have a 7 month old and are stressing about what is to come. If you could help us, please do! With the new Gi bills being rid of interval pay, we have been struggling! I know there are many people who need help nowadays. I also need help with Christmas, this is my son's first Christmas and it kills me know we can't give our family a decent celebration. We need a miracle, I have applied for job after job, I even went to dental school and can't find a job! Please help my family! My car broke down, and my husbands car has over two hundred thousand miles on it and is ready to give up. With doctors visits, and more we can't afford to not have a vehicle. I've been in this situation before after losing my home in Katrina, and I will do anything to make sure my son will not lose his! He deserves stability! I just need some help to get back on my feet!
